About
I’m a product designer, recently moved to Canada. I’ve worked internationally, in-house, and remotely on projects for some of the leading brands, agencies, and startups.
I'm passionate about crafting digital experiences and brand identities. I have been involved in different stages of the projects, from the seed of the idea through to sketches, wireframes, and visual design. As a freelancer, this meant I could jump in at any stage of a project, or take on the whole project when I could clear enough time. Over the past couple of years, I’ve transitioned to a role leading the design and creative direction of products and design systems.
Experience
I started my design career in 2003 in an advertising agency in Chennai, India as a graphic designer. In 2006 I transitioned to the role of a usability engineer at IBS software services which created software for some of the major airlines. I shifted to Bangalore in 2009 and joined Accenture as a user experience designer. After seven years as a UX consultant in Accenture, I joined with a couple of friends and started our own design agency named “Pebels LLP”. After three years of that adventure ride, I moved back to the product designer role in a financial startup. A couple of years later I joined Gojek and currently working as a product designer there.
Personal interests
Like most of the other designers, I also love photography and travel. In 2014, I co-authored a coffee table book called “Obscured Revelations” on poetry and photography with my friend Karthik Sreenivasan.
In 2015 I did a month long motorcycle trip from Kanyakumari to Kashmir covering some of the beautiful places in India. Personally, it’s one of the things I’m most proud of.
